  1. 2026-04-17 Marketplaces

Whatnot live shopping has become sellers' number two revenue channel, surpassing Amazon, and remains a massive untapped opportunity for brands to move inventory and gain visibility cheaply.

become their number two channel generator for revenue... Surpassed Amazon... it's really a no-brainer... I'm essentially paying a 6% commission fee on every sale, but that is nothing.

  2. 2026-04-17 Site & Platform

Brands overestimate how obvious their site is to new visitors; a website should pass a 'dummy test' where both a 10-year-old and a 70-year-old can understand what's sold and trust it enough to buy.

Give your website to a 10-year-old and give your website to a 70-year-old. Are they able to actually navigate through it and buy a product?

  3. 2026-04-17 Product Development

Finding the right physical material (moving past cardboard and brittle corrugated plastic to a padded mat) was the key unlock that made the product actually work.

So the next place after cardboard you would go to corrugated plastic... That cracked really easily... There's also a robust patent that exists out there on another map but it's like a yoga mat... Mine doesn't infringe on that.

  4. 2026-04-17 AI

The 'AI agencies are a trillion-dollar opportunity' narrative from VCs is overhyped framing of something that is really just table stakes for agencies today.

I feel like this is just table stakes at this point though and VCs are doing the classic VC thing and trying to make something that isn't profound super profound.

  5. 2026-04-17 Founder & Team

Vendors, contractors, and team members must continually evolve and upskill to stay involved as a company scales, or they get replaced by someone more experienced.

You have to evolve. You have to level up and upskill or or somebody else has to get involved that's been there and done it before.
