  1. 2026-05-14 Brand Strategy

Brands should invest in AI engine optimization (AEO/GEO) now because the competitive advantage window is finite and Shopify's data already shows AI-referred shoppers converting better.

the advantage window is finite. And so invest now. Invest now. AEO, GEO, whatever you want to call it... Now's the time. And Shopify's got the data. They're paying more and they're converting better.

Meta's ads status/reporting page is unreliable and understates real outages, so third-party monitoring tools are necessary for advertisers.

Meta's like status reporting page is not always accurate, okay? There have been several times where there is a complete outage, and everything said, 'Fine. Everything's fine. No problems.'

Meta is unlikely to issue refunds for its confirmed March ad outage, and it should be giving out ad credits the way Universal Ads does.

I've heard that we won't be getting refunds for that despite it being a confirmed outage... I'd love to see Meta give out some ad credits, cuz you know who's giving out ad credits? Universal Ads.

Amazon's Rufus AI shopping assistant proved to be a genuinely viable option before being retired and evolved into something new.

Rufus, I will never forget you. You did amazing stuff. We have amazing data to prove you were an amazing viable option. You're now evolved. RIP.

  5. 2026-05-14 Founder & Team

Moving from a service business to owning a product is a bigger transition than it looks because accountability expands to the whole business rather than one lane.

the bigger transition I think was going from the service side to the product ownership side because it's completely different... What you're accountable to is much bigger when it's the product side.

AI-generated LinkedIn thought-leadership posts read as boring and obviously formulaic, undermining the founder-led content they're meant to support.

I just hate it, I think it's boring, it's repetitive... anytime I see somebody that has like a post that says AI is not going to replace you but the person who uses AI will, like okay you're doing AI's marketing for them.
